Kicking Horse – British Columbia Overview
The ‘Horse’ as it’s known to most, is a skier’s dream with lots of big terrain, open bowls, long cruisers, and everything in between. There are 2800 acres of terrain serviced by 4 lifts, the main being the big gondola out of the base area, the Golden Eagle express. If you feel like staying up top, there’s the Stairway to heaven quad that services Redemption ridge. This is great for making laps in Crystal Bowl and all the runs on that side of the ridge, plus opens up the access to Feuz bowl, featuring spectacular terrain. If you find the cruisers at the bottom more to your liking, you can lap those on the Catamount Quad. Finally, the Pioneer double chair will take you to some quiet terrain on climbers left out of the base.
