Voss Overview

Voss is an area with a good snow record, benefitting from an average of 540cm of snow per year with the ski season running from December through to April. Voss is mainly an alpine skiing area with runs ranging from very easy to World Cup standard. The majority of the slopes are south facing and enjoy any available sunshine. There are 40 km of pisted runs and lots of areas for off piste skiing. Voss Hostel lies idyllically by the lake Vangsvatnet with beautiful views towards Gråsida mountain. 700m from the train-and bus station, about 1km from Voss centre.

Rooms: 40 rooms all with ensuite WC and shower

Facilities: Guest kitchen, fireplace, drying room, ski storage room, table tennis and games room, sauna, tv/video room and lecture rooms. A dining room overlooking the lake uses a cafeteria system to provide an excellent breakfast buffet with organic products and home baked spelt bread and evening dinner.
