Piancavallo Overview
Piancavallo, located in the Friuli Venezia Giulia region of Italy, is an excellent ski destination for school groups, especially during term time. The smaller groups that come with skiing during term time allow for more personalized instruction, helping students improve faster.
With recent investment into the resort there is as much fun to be had off the slopes as well, including a sports hall with courts, trampolines and climbing wall as well as many local cafés, restaurants and a well-stocked supermarket, all quieter with fewer crowds during term time. Nestled in the stunning region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Italy, Piancavallo boasts over 24km of slopes and a diverse range of ski runs suitable for beginners and advanced skiers alike. Piancavallo offers school groups fantastic progression with interconnecting runs for beginners and intermediate skiers as well.

Hotel Stella Montis

The Hotel Stella Montis is a purpose built, modern youth group accommodation located just 200m from the slopes and ski school meeting point. Breakfast is served in the restaurant as well as the hot lunches and you will have a buffet style evening meal.
There are plenty of facilities at the Stella Montis, including disco room and games rooms. TV lounges and a pleasant bar with mountain views.

Hotel Regina

The Hotel Regina is an excellent 3* property situated just a short walk from the ski school meeting point. The Regina has great facilities for your group including a large restaurant, a separate games room, activity room where you can hold evening activities or just relax watching a film. There is also a bar and rustic lounge with a fireplace.

Torchlit Descent with Music - Piancavallo

What you’ll experience: Meet instructors, where those who have high enough ski ability will be given a torch. Any member of the group not able to ski can still enjoy the show and accompanying music. Students will get to enjoy a hot chocolate and adults will be offered mulled wine.
