Grandvalira / Andorra Overview
Grandvalira is the largest ski resort in the Pyrenees, reaching an altitude of 2640m. There are over 210km of skiing across 6 interlinked areas served by 64 lifts. Over 1000 snow cannons guarantee snow for the majority of the resort. Great facilities for you school ski group beginners and intermediates, and dedicated nursery slopes throughout the area. Groups either ski the sector of Pas de la Casa, Grau Roig and Encamp, or sector 2 of Soldeu, El Tarter and Canillo. Full area pass for both sectors is available at a supplement. Evening activities include bowling, swimming, and thermal baths.

Hotel Encamp
Location: Encamp

Located 300 metres from the historic centre of Encamp, a few metres away from the Funitrain which runs every 15 minutes and leads to the cable car. Hotel Encamp is a comfortable hotel, well recommended for our groups!
Rooms: 60 bedrooms across four floors with 2-4 beds and en-suite facilities, all with exterior views.
Facilities: Dining room, bar, games room / lounge with a pool table and table-football, and Wi-Fi is available.

The Hotel Oros is located 450 metres from the Funicamp Station that connects Encamp with Grandvalira.

Located near the centre of Andorra la Vella, this hotel was formerly the Font del Marge, and is perfect for skiing both Grandvalira and Vallnord.
Rooms: All bedrooms are en-suite with 2-4 beds, including bunk beds. All rooms have TVs.

Cinema la Vella

What you’ll experience: A chance for students to rest their tired legs after a day on the slopes! This evening activity is entertaining and allows the group to improve language skills.

Caldea Thermal Spa

What you’ll experience: A beautiful spa centre for the group to relax. The unique spa includes waters offering great health-giving qualities. Natural waters run through the spa which are rich in natural minerals such as sodium, sulphates, sulphur and calcium which give health benefits including healing, decongestant and anti-allergy qualities.
Select says: A famous and large European spa centre for wellness tourism. Other facilities include waterfalls, jacuzzis and hydromassage jets.
Bowling

What you’ll experience: Built in 1991 for the Games of Small States of Europe, the bowling facilities at this fantastic multi-sports centre have been expanded in recent years, and include four bowling lanes as well as an arcade and billiards table.

Ice Skating

What you’ll experience: The Palau de Gel is located in Canillo, at the bottom of ski station Grandvalira. This large sports centre offers both a swimming pool and an ice rink.

Swimming

What you’ll experience: Enjoy some leisure time in the swimming centre at the Centre Esportiu Ordino in the evenings. A great way to relax tired muscles after a long day on the slopes.
Select says: Please note at least 1 adult per 8 children must also be present and males are requested to wear speedos not shorts. Swim hats are also compulsory.
Pizza Night

What you’ll experience: Enjoy a night out and pizza! A great opportunity for your group to socialise and enjoy a popular meal after a day on the slopes.

Trip to the capital - Andorra la Vella

What you’ll experience: For evening entertainments it is recommended that groups travel to the capital Andorra la Vella where amongst other options, groups can enjoy the scenery for free and great tax-free shopping in one of the larget shopping centres in Europe. The city’s old town is characterised by old stone streets and houses. The central Església de Sant Esteve church is part of the area and was built in a Romanesque style in the eleventh century. The old town also includes the country’s historic parliament building and is definitely worth a visit!

Disco Night
