Serre Chevalier Overview

A firm favourite with schools, Serre Chevalier offers over 250km of piste at a top altitude of 2830m, with a vast array for beginners to experts. One of the largest ski areas in France, Serre Chevalier has an excellent lift-system, sunny slopes, and superb wide nursery pistes for novice skiers as well as some great above tree-lined pistes for intermediates and Olympic black runs for experts. Après-ski is plentiful with ice-skating, swimming, discos and much more.

What you’ll experience: The Centre Les 4 Saisons is located on the edge of Chantemerle, only a 2 minute drive from the slopes. There are great facilities including a disco and games room, making this an excellent choice for your next school ski trip. Rooms: Rooms sleep 2-4 people, all are en-suite with either shower or bath, plus a separate toilet. All rooms have a flat screen TV and telephone. Facilities: Bar and lounge area, large restaurant (which can be converted into two rooms for groups), disco and games room with table tennis tables and DVD player to hire, sun terrace, Free WIFI in bedrooms, wellness & spa available for teachers (fee payable). The centre can organise après-ski activities including shows, karaoke and themed evenings (fee payable). You can also opt for a hot lunch (at extra cost).

What you’ll experience: Extremely well situated in Chantmerle, only 250m from the ski lifts and Serre Chevalier pistes, also close to shops and restaurants. This hotel has a friendly management team and offers groups a very comfortable stay with excellent food. Facilities include a small swimming pool (no lifeguard), cosy bar and upstairs there are 2 rooms for the groups to relax in – a meeting room and a snug. Highly recommended – get a quote today! Rooms: 38 well-furnished bedrooms for 2-3 persons all with private facilities and a capacity of around 80 people (using 14 double beds) or 66 without. Facilities: Restaurant, bar, together with conference room for meetings, ski room.

What you’ll experience: La Renardiere is ideally situated in the heart of Chantemerle, around a 4 minute walk from the main gondola. Rooms: Rooms sleep up to 5 bed and come with en-suite facilities. Facilities: The holiday centre consists of two buildings – the accommodation building offers 19 bedrooms spread over 3 floors, sleeping up to 5 people per room and all benefitting from private facilities There is also a small lounge/TV room on the ground floor of this building. The adjacent building offers a further small lounge area above the reception, a spacious restaurant (with small bar area) where all meals are served . There is an activity/meeting room in this building. Table tennis, table football, board games and a video projector are available. A small kitchen with fridge is also available for teachers to use.

What you’ll experience: Briançon is a picturesque village with a historical centre which is strongly fortified. It is a great free activity for the children to experience during their stay and can visit famous attractions such as Collegiate Church of Notre-Dame and Saint-Nicolas, with its two towers, built 1703–1726.

What you’ll experience: Enjoy some leisure time in the indoor heated swimming pool in the evenings. A great way to relax tired muscles after a long day on the slopes.
