Les Deux Alpes Overview

Les Deux Alpes is a snow-sure and popular destination for school ski groups during term-time. Huge recent investment in the ski area has also opened it up to all levels of skier, with the addition of easier green and blue runs back to village level. Often known as an ‘upside down’ resort, some of the easiest slopes are to be found at altitude, on the glacier area, meaning the whole mountain is immediately accessible to even the most novice skier. Intermediates and advanced skiers are also well catered, including a 10km blue run and some daunting blacks.

New for 2025 – The 3S Jandri Lift

Less time waiting and more time skiing! Discover a new way to enjoy Les Deux Alpes with the 3S Jandri lift. Replacing the old Jandri Express, it reduces travel time from 40 minutes down to 17 minutes – it handles 3,000 people per hour.

What you’ll experience: Lovely, modern accommodation, offering great facilities for groups and (snow permitting) ski in/ski out access. Beginners can take the free shuttle bus on their first day to meet their ski instructors. A buffet breakfast, hot lunch and 3 course evening meal are served in the restaurant. Rooms: 50 rooms, sleeping 2-4 people (many interconnecting), all ensuite. Facilities: TV room, bar, restaurant, games room with table football and table tennis. Free WIFI. In house ski hire with individual lockers per bedroom.

What you’ll experience: Located near the foot of the slopes, 150m to the main lifts and ski school meeting point, this Italian run hotel offers great food and a warm welcome to skiers of every level looking for a place to explore. Rooms: Rooms sleep 2-6 people and are all en-suite. Facilities: Bar/lounge area. WIFI, Wellness area with sauna and jacuzzi for teachers. A large meeting room for activities.

What you’ll experience: Located in the heart of resort, this hotel offers a warm, family welcome and the perfect base in Les Deux Alpes. The hotel is 6 minutes walk from the brand new Jandri 3S Gondola and within easy reach of a variety of evening entertainments. Rooms: Traditionally decorated rooms sleep 2-4 people, some rooms feature bunk beds. All have private facilities. Facilities: A buffet breakfast is taken at the hotel and lunch and dinner will be taken at Hotel Atmosphere, a stone’s throw from the base of the slopes and around 200m from Hotel La Meije. Groups are therefore able to use the restaurant in Hotel La Meije as a social space for evening entertainments. Lunch will consist of a starter, main and fruit for dessert. Dinner will be buffet salad bar and 3 course evening meal. Groups have the option of packed lunches if they prefer. Facilities: Bar, lounge, dining room.

What you’ll experience: Hotel Le Cairn is very centrally located near the main street and shops and close to the Jandri Express lift which goes directly to the glacier. Rooms have recently been refurbished and the hotel offers sole occupancy for the right sized group. Rooms: 5 quad rooms and 14 twin rooms, all en-suite. Facilities: Cosy bar including a TV, restaurant, hot tub for teachers.

What you’ll experience: This warm and friendly hotel is extremely well situated in the heart of this popular resort, only a few minutes’ walk to the ski school meeting point at the Viking lift. This is a highly popular choice with our groups due to its great location in Les Deux Alpes, good facilities, excellent cuisine, and the fact that most bedrooms sleep four students. Well recommended! Rooms: Sleep 4-6 with the majority of rooms being four bedded. All en-suite. Facilities: Restaurant, bar and Wi-Fi. Buffet style breakfast, hot lunch and 3 course evening meal.

What you’ll experience: Located in the Venosc area of Deux Alpes, Maison Familiale Le Soleil offers a great base for your ski trip to Les Deux Alpes. Within easy walking distance of the ski lifts and village centre, this simple accommodation offers everything a group needs for a week’s skiing – spacious communal spaces to relax in, a welcoming atmosphere and great food, including limited wine with dinner (for teachers!). Rooms: 34 rooms, sleeping 2-5 people, all with en suite facilities. Bunk beds do feature. Facilities: Cosy bar area with open fire place, games room (with table tennis, mini football and pool table), TV room and spacious restaurant. They also have a screen with video-projector groups are able to use.
