Serre Chevalier Overview

A firm favourite with schools, Serre Chevalier offers over 250km of piste at a top altitude of 2830m, with a vast array for beginners to experts. One of the largest ski areas in France, Serre Chevalier has an excellent lift-system, sunny slopes, and superb wide nursery pistes for novice skiers as well as some great above tree-lined pistes for intermediates and Olympic black runs for experts. Après-ski is plentiful with ice-skating, swimming, discos and much more.

    What you’ll experience:

    Enjoy a night out and pizza! A great opportunity for your group to socialise and enjoy a classsic Italian meal after a day on the slopes.

    Sampling authentic Italian pizza is an essential night out for groups travelling to Italy or to resorts near the Italian boarder to get a feel for the culture! Each meal includes 1 soft drink.

  • Bowling

    What you’ll experience:

    Bowling is a great evening entertainment for a fun and sociable evening! A modern bowling alley - great for a fun evening out after a day on the slopes!

  • Ice Hockey Match

    Subject range: Cultural, Winter Sports

    What you’ll experience:

    For something different, subject to schedules you may be able to visit the ice rink so that your students can enjoy one of the regular hockey matches.

  • Briançon town

    Subject range: Cultural, History

    What you’ll experience:

    Briançon is a picturesque village with a historical centre which is strongly fortified. It is a great free activity for the children to experience during their stay and can visit famous attractions such as Collegiate Church of Notre-Dame and Saint-Nicolas, with its two towers, built 1703–1726.

  • Floodlit Skiing

    Subject range: Winter Sports

    What you’ll experience:

    Evening skiing on a floodlit slopes is a magical activity for the pupils to experience.

    Night skiing Briancon - there is flood lighting on the red Vauban run along the lower section of the Prorel gondola.

    Night skiing Villeneuve, on the Mickey Run - the family night skiing at Serre Chevalier is on the green slopes along the Mickey t-bar lift.

  • Ice Skating

    Subject range: Winter Sports

    What you’ll experience:

    Why not try a different winter sport as one of your evening entertainments? Ice skating is always a popular choice with pupils and a great way for them to socialise.

  • Swimming

    Subject range: Physical Education

    What you’ll experience:

    Enjoy some leisure time in the indoor heated swimming pool in the evenings. A great way to relax tired muscles after a long day on the slopes.

    Please note at least 1 adult per 8 children must also be present and males are requested to wear speedos not shorts. Swim hats are also compulsory.
