Bolton Valley - Vermont Overview

Bolton Valley is a fantastic new addition to the Select ski programme and offers exclusive to Select, slope-side accommodation. Boasting the second highest base in Vermont, Bolton Valley benefits from snow-sure skiing with an average of 312 inches of annual snowfall across 300 skiable acres. There is also 100km of marked Nordic terrain, which includes an array of backcountry trails. Our package includes a cross country ski excursion or a guided backcountry session for advanced downhill skiers. Your group can also have free rental of Nordic skis if you would like to try it during their stay. Bolton Valley is used a lot by local schools in Vermont so the ski school is well versed with dealing with children of all abilities. There is plenty to keep your group entertained including a sports centre with swimming pool, games room and sports hall, night skiing, the Ben & Jerry’s factory tour 20 mins drive away, plus you can choose to swap day lessons on one day to go outlet shopping in nearby Burlington, just 20 miles away.

  • Swimming

    What you’ll experience:

    Swimming is available for the whole group at the Sports Center at Bolton Valley which includes an indoor heated pool, hot tub and sauna.

    A great way to relax tired muscles after a long day on the slopes. Opening hours are Sunday: 9am-5:45pm, Monday: 10:30-5:45pm, Tuesday - Wednesday: 10:30am-7:45pm, Thursday - Friday: 10:30am-9:45pm, and Saturday: 9:00am-9:45pm.

  • Night Skiing

    What you’ll experience:

    Night skiing is a must-do activity for groups of all ages and abilities, providing a different way for them to experience the slopes! A fun and popular evening entertainment.

    Vermont's only night skiing resort! The slopes are lit from the mountain down to the base, as well as the snowparks. The floodlit slopes are 10km in length and is open Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

  • Nordic Skiing and Snowshoeing

    What you’ll experience:

    The Nordic Centre is the gateway to the cross country and back country terrain. It offers guided tours, lessons and rental equipment for groups of all ages and abilities to enjoy on Bolton's 100 kilometre Nordic trail system which gives terrain for skiers and snowshoe enthusiasts of all levels, with 15 kilometres of groomed trails.

  • Waffle Cabin

    Subject range: Cultural, Food Technology

    What you’ll experience:

    This ski-in, ski-out eatery is home to some of the tastiest waffles around! The waffle cabin allows your group to enjoy brilliant food and get a feel for the American culture.

    Conveniently located slope-side of the base-lodge. A great way to have a quick break from the slopes!

  • Pizza Night

    Subject range: Cultural, Food Technology

    What you’ll experience:

    Enjoy a night out and pizza! A great opportunity for your group to socialise and enjoy a classsic Italian meal after a day on the slopes. The group is able to come in from the cold for Bolton Valley's well-loved wood-fired flatbreads. Stop in for lunch after a morning of hard skiing or for in the evening after a long day to watch your specially prepared pizza cook inside the giant clay oven!

    Located upstairs in the base lodge. Fireside is open Wednesday 3-8pm, Thursday 4-10pm, Friday 4-11pm, Saturday 11am-10pm, and Sunday 11am-5pm. The group also has the option to enjoy fireside flatbread in their pajamas! Call ahead for take-out and head back to your room for your own private flatbread party. A great idea as a meal to go with a film night or in-house quiz.

  • Adventure Center

    What you’ll experience:

    The Bolton Adventure Center provides a wide range of fun activities for groups of all ages and abilities to enjoy. The program specialises in team building and leadership development and is designed to push your group to work together and conquer challenges they never thought possible! The Guided Excursions are led by top professional guides and experienced locales and the BAC's Challenge Course operates at the highest safety standards.

  • Sports Centre

    What you’ll experience:

    The Bolton Valley Sports Centre is home to many different activities for the group to enjoy including an arcade, pool table, weight training area, a gym with equipment such as a treadmill, a stair climber, elliptical, rowing machine and upright and recumbent bikes, and a field house where the group can play basketball and other indoor sports. This evening activity is a great way for the group to try out differnet types of games and physical activities.
