This ski season we’re asking staff and teachers about their favourite resorts so you can get the inside knowledge to help you choose where to go. Next up is Sales Director Janet Ford with her choice of Zell am See in Austria:
Zell am See offers everything required for a successful ski trip: the ski area is varied and suitable for all abilities, it’s great for early and late season skiing (due to the proximity of the glacier at Kaprun), and the ski school are very flexible. The new AreitXpress lift is a great addition and has eased the peak queing that used to occur on the Areitbahn lift.
There are plenty of apres-ski activities in the resort, plus it has the advantage of a hospital in resort if required. Try to see an ice hockey match during your trip as this makes for a great evening entertainment for the students and staff alike.
My favourite accommodation is the JUFA Kaprun as it has all you need for school groups and more!
Thanks to Janet for her thoughts on Zell am See. We agree that it’s a great choice for school ski trips! If you would like to find out more about Zell am See-Kaprun and view the ski facts, piste map, apres ski and accommodation, you can view here.
